Before your introductory lesson, I email you a short questionnaire to help clarify your interests, goals and needs.
Because every student is unique, given their age, musical knowledge and skill, stylistic interests, and style of learning, your first lesson begins with a review of that questionnaire and a conversation, along with some guitar playing. I assess your playing level and musical knowledge, and we talk through your interests and goals. From there we build a course of study made for you. Your lessons use songs as the main vehicle for learning, and can include ear training, music and guitar theory, note and tablature reading, songwriting, and how to practice, along with guitar technique.
